The National Registry Exams for Emergency Medical Technicians ( computer based and practicals) are used in the state of Michigan as basis for licensure. After the EMT candidate or Paramedic candidate has completed the required EMS class and course work they will be permitted to take the NREMT exams.

The Michigan EMT exams are administered by SWM Systems and UPEMS. Both companies have contact information listed below. Once you have completed your Michigan approved EMT Course you will need to register for the NREMT exam on the NREMT National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians website. From there your EMT exam will scheduled.
