Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) - Dedicated to reducing premature death and disability.

EMT B Certification Requirements - Detailed list of all criteria you must pass and provide in order to become certified.

Approved EMT Training Courses in Massachusetts - List of EMT schools from the Massachusetts Board of EMS.

Licensure and certification of EMT and Paramedics in Massachusetts is regulated by the Office of Emergency Medical Services. The state administers its own EMT and Paramedic exams and does not rely on the NREMT, National Registry for either the written EMT test or the Paramedic test. Both EMT exams test the EMT candidate with multiple choice questions exactly like we have here on EMT National Training. The real EMT exam is rarely over 150 questions, but we have almost 2,500 questions for you to take and learn from. Along with the instant grading of each online exam comes detailed rationales for each of the answers. This helps you learn from your mistakes and solidify the things you already know.

If you are applying for certification or licensure in Massachusetts from another state you can find these applications here. Oddly enough there are no links to initial in-state EMT certification forms. It is assumed that these forms would be distributed only at the approved EMT Training institutions and therefore there is no need to post them on the web. The certification forms linked to above are for EMT and Paramedic candidates who are NREMT certified EMT's or licensed in another state.

Email questions about the Massachusetts EMT Basic Exam can be directed to Administrator Frances Zakszewski
