Becoming a Certified EMT in Kentucky requires that you fulfill the initial EMT Certification Requirements. Part of which is to fill out the Kentucky EMT Certification Application. You must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Certification also requires that you graduate from a Kentucky approved EMT or Paramedic course that is based on the D.O.T. Curriculum for EMT Basic or Paramedic.
