One of the largest EMS systems in the country, California is continually hiring new EMTs and Paramedics. The Emergency Medical Services Authority or EMSA, is responsible for regulating and managing the entire EMS system in California.

EMT and Paramedics must have completed a state accredited EMT training program, as well as pass the NREMT exam. California recognizes the National Registry Exam and uses it to substantiate an EMT or Paramedic's knowledge of pre hospital emergency medicine. The test is given at one of several Pearson Vue EMT testing centers. You may find and schedule a test at the link above and find out more information about how the exam is conducted.

Used as a study aid, the practice NREMT tests here on EMT National Training will give you a good understanding of the type and format of questions that you can expect on the real National Registry exam. These EMS questions follow the Department of Transportation's Curriculum for the EMT or Paramedic, just like the NREMT. Each answer has been substantiated to exist in at least one current text book used to teach EMT courses.

Questions about EMT l and ll programs can be addressed to Sean Trask
