The Mission of the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System is to protect the safety and health of people utilizing the EMS system in Arizona. The BEMS is committed to improving the Arizona EMS system as well as educating the public with regard to safety and injury prevention.

Being an EMT in Arizona requires that you take and pass an approved training course along with submitting the proper certification documents AND passing the National Registry (NREMT) Exam. According to the information provided only EMT Intermediate and EMT Paramedic candidates need to take and pass the National Registry practical examination as well.
