I am on my third try before I have to do a 24 hour remedial course. I am beating myself down big time because the national registry is not all that hard but I am making it out to be some horror. I don't know what to do. I have studied so much and I finished pretty high up in my emt class......

Don't give up. The National Registry is a hard test. Lots of people have a hard time with it. I took a peek at your practice test scores, you are still struggling in some areas. What we have noticed is that we often fill the gap between what you learned in class and what you need to know for the National Registry. You need to be scoring in the 80th percentile in every category to really feel good about your next exam. You might also want to read about the NREMT test on our site, here is a link: http://www.emt-national-training.com/nremt.php .
Make sure when taking the practice tests that you read the accompanying rationale for each question, even the ones you answered correctly. We have devised our questions the same way the National Registry has written their questions. You may see a similar question with different wording and need to understand why the answers differ when they are essentially the same question. Read the rationales. This will help you recognize key words and phrases. Also, do not read into a question. Work with the information in front of you, do not assume anything, and do not muddy the waters by having residual information left over from the question before floating around in your brain. You can pass this exam. They make it difficult for a reason. It helps to be ultra prepared because you never know what you are going to get going in to the exam. You can do this. If you have specific questions you would like to direct to our EMTs and Paramedics, you can fill out a helpdesk ticket on the support area of our homepage on emt-national-training.com. Happy studying and Good luck.

I did exactly that. I had a month to study before the test, so I figured if I did 100-200 questions a day, it would be plenty. Make sure to read the rationales. Some questions I wasn't 100 percent sure I was right, so even though I ended up getting it right, I read the tests rationale to re-enforce my own. It only took me 35 minutes to take the test because it stopped me after 70 questions. If you scored top of your class, then you can do this. try EMT-B.com for a free practice test, just to change it up. I took the practice test on here half a dozen times and my score kept improving, but I also kept seeing a lot of the same questions over and over. Also you can pick up a flash card book for 15 bucks at barnes and noble that comes with a cd that includes 4 additional tests. Using a few different sources seemed to make me feel more comfortable going into the test. Good luck, stay positive

I purchased a month of the emt-national-training website and it's really making me very confident in my abilities now. I have terrible test taking skills and I always going into an anxiety attack pretty much during tests but this website is really helping me out a lot. I am mixing this up with still reading back on all the chapters in the book. I signed up for the 6th of Jan so we will see....
