As a prior service member, working in the healtcare field as an HM, is there any qualifying factors to having to take the EMT course in the State of Texas?

I have taken the basic EMT course through the Navy, however it was labelled as Hospital Corps School, not EMT training.

Any idea if this would count towards my EMT school? I'm awaiting an Administrative Separation with an Honorable Discharge before I can apply for any course/license with the state anyways.

joshr89,

Here is the contact info for the state of Texas. If you call the phone number, they should be able to tell you what hoops you have to jump through to become certified and licensed in the state. Good luck.
