Hello to all,
I just wanted to type this up in a little act of anger I guess you could say. I just recently graduated from my EMT-I class last month. I graduated top in the class, and passed all the final tests/practicles with no problem. Our final and Mid-Terms were all based on EMSCAT questions, so after you spend 2-3 days going over all the questions, and at this point you have 90% memorized, you can pass the MID-Term / Final without issue. Well, after I got my diploma, and I passed the file review, I sign up for my NREMT exam, and of course I was nervous, but I had a good deal of understanding what is going on, and felt assured that I was confident with what I have learned in the past 7 months @ school. When I first sat down at the testing center and that 1st question came up on the screen, I knew I was in trouble, cause it hit me to "left field", I was clueless. I went thru that test, using the skills of test taking that I learned with EMSCAT tests, and let me tell you, you cant compare these at all. NREMT is a totally different thinking process. With EMSCAT if you see an answer with "BSI" or "C-COLLAR" in it, 9 times out of 10 that will be the right answer, however NREMT is 100% totally different style thinking process. Needless to say, I failed at that attempt to pass the NREMT exam, and as soon as I found out, I found this website, and have learned 100000% more here, then I did in 7 months of class. I have taken nearly 2130 questions in the last 15 days, have nearly 80% in all sections. I have taken I think 7 NREMT practice exam tests, passed all of them (72% - 90%) And to make a long story short, I have my 2nd attempt of passing this NREMT exam tomorrow @ 12 noon, and I HOPE TO GOD, that I pass it this time. I cant tell you 1 thing, I can walk in there and feel more confident with what I learned from here. Thank you guys for this website, and I hope to be thanking you again after I pass. |
